Fishing - some of the most beautiful fishing areas in the world

Zimbabwe has a variety of fishing opportunities, depending on the type of fish and the environment you're looking for. Some popular fishing destinations in the country include:

  • Lake Kariba: This is the largest man-made lake in Africa and is known for its large population of tiger fish, bream and vundu. The best time to fish here is during the dry season, from May to October.

  • Zambezi River: The Zambezi River offers excellent fishing opportunities for tiger fish, bream, and nembwe. The best time to fish here is during the rainy season, from November to April.

  • Matusadona National Park: Located on the shores of Lake Kariba, this park offers fishing for bream and tiger fish. The best time to fish here is during the dry season, from May to October.

  • Save River: This river is known for its large population of bream, nembwe and tiger fish. The best time to fish here is during the rainy season, from November to April.

  • Manyame River: This river is known for its catfish, bream, and yellowfish. The best time to fish here is during the dry season, from May to October.

It's important to note that fishing regulations and seasons vary depending on the location and species, so it's best to check with local authorities and tour operators for specific information and to obtain the necessary licenses and permits.

Be careful of the Crocs!  They are not as nice as this one!

and the Hippos  are even more dangerous!
