Update on Tanya Connor by Matt Connor Jnr

To everyone who has liked, shared and generously contributed to this go fund me for my mom, we as her family deeply appreciate your support and kindness. Every single donation will help pay for her to recover sufficiently to be strong enough to have further treatment to kill this horribly aggressive AML (blood cancer) plaguing her. My mom is still in Netcare Olivedale Hospital. She has stabilized with the professional care she is receiving there. Her white blood cells are up, she is able to fight infection, platelets up from the single 1 she had in Harare which put her at severe risk of bleeding to death now at 14. Hemoglobin is still low but should come up soon. My mom has exceeded the specialist hematologist team of doctors expectations, given the life threatening state she arrived in. The projected costs to get my mom strong enough for more treatment are prohibitive
R500 000.00 ( £22 000.00) minimum for the live saving blood, platelets and plasma is needed to pay the Blood Bank. The ICU Isolation ward (R100 000.00) Lancet pathology,(R250 000.00) medications (R100 000.00)and specialist Hematologist Doctors fees are crippling but necessary for my mom to have the very best chance to fight this disease. We are hoping she will be able to come out of Olivedale soon and restart more treatment. Given the journey my mom has been on the doctors feel confident she can beat this.
